Hallel* is the Hebrew word for "Praise". This is a common title for Psalms 113-118. A friend asked me to put these Psalms to music for a Seder Meal he was presenting for his church. It is simple music, mostly with a Jewish flavor, a blend of guitars, recorders and vocals. I hope I conveyed the emotion displayed in these wonderful Psalms. For the cd I also added Psalm 121 and my first try at David's 10 String Harp, called the Kinnor, which I purchased from Jubilee Harps (see link). I am now trying to put a full cd together with just the Kinnor. Pray for me! * Hallel is currently being remastered, but our current stock is still available. |
