Scripture Music

Hallel

Hallel is the Hebrew word for "Praise". This is a common title for Psalms 113-118. A friend asked me to put these Psalms to music for a Seder Meal he was presenting for his church. It is simple music, mostly with a Jewish flavor, a blend of guitars, recorders and vocals. I hope I conveyed the emotion displayed in these wonderful Psalms. For the cd I also added Psalm 121 and my first try at DavidÕs 10 String Harp, called the Kinnor, which I purchased from Jubilee Harps (see Links Page). I am now trying to put a full cd together with just the Kinnor. Pray for me!

James In Song:

James in Song is the third of my published Scripture in Song series. Along with 1 John in Song (with my former group Shekinah), and the Hallel (the Passover Psalms)I have put the Word to music, word for word in the King James Version of the Bible. James consists of 108 verses, 5 chapters, and 22 songs.

I John In Song

I John In Song is the first of my attempts to put full books of the bible to music. This was recorded in the 1980's with my former group Shekinah. It consists of 35 songs, word for word from King James English. It is the most painless way to memorize scripture I know, and believe me, IÕve memorized a lot of scripture!
